GLiTRS is building a global threat-response model, integrating many lines of evidence from macroecology, meta-analysis and structured expert elicitation. We are quantifying how insect biodiversity changes in response to anthropogenic pressures, how the response varies in space, by functional traits and according to the biodiversity metric used, as well as how these changes affect ecosystems. There are four analytical Work Packages and a further Work Package for Impact which you can read more about below.
Work Packages
Work Package One:
Data compilation & exploration.
Work Package Two:
Integrate multiple lines of evidence into a Threat-Response Model.
Work Package Three:
Validation & projection of the Threat-Response Model.
Work Package Four:
Consequences of insect declines
Work Package Five:
Impact and knowledge exchange
